From our Las Cerezas Vineyard in Yountville. Guava and passion fruit with white flower notes pour from the glass. This is not a wimpy or timid Sauvignon blanc. It is rich, supple, and round with a very pleasing finish. Perfect for an afternoon interlude. Aged 12 months in 33% new French oak.
About the vineyard: Las Cerezas is located at the southern end of Yountville, just east of Washington Street. Las Cerezas, Spanish for, "the cherries," was named after the neighboring cherry orchard. These 25 acres lie in the town of Yountville where the climate is moderate, with a definite cooler maritime influence compared to our neighbors up valley. This gorgeous property is located off Hwy 29 and is planted with Merlot, Syrah, Malbec, and Sauvignon Blanc. The soils here are mainly gravelly silt loams, sedimentary in origin and gravelly alluvial soils with rock, moderately fertile.
